This course, Climate Action Leadership & Decarbonisation Training, is offered in conjunction with the Transforming Renovation in the Atlantic Seaboard South (TRESS) project, and in collaboration with Tipperary Energy Agency (TEA), Vivid Edge and Technological University of the Shannon (TUS).
The course is made up of 4 focused training sessions:
- Session 1 – Leadership & Decarbonisation: This module is for local government officials and project leaders, and is designed to empower effective implementation of national climate targets.
- Session 2 – Understanding Decarbonisation: This module provides facilities managers, engineers, and decision makers seeking to decarbonise public buildings, with the foundational knowledge and practical tools required to lead successful decarbonisation efforts across public sector estates. There will be a focus on defining emissions, identifying high impact areas, and applying effective retrofit strategies.
- Session 3 – Financing Decarbonisation: This module focuses on the critical financial pathways and models required to transition public buildings towards net-zero emissions.
- Session 4 – Communication & Action Planning: This module focuses on communication and action planning for climate leadership.
