What is DASBE?

DASBE is a hub for upskilling, capacity building and education in the construction sector.  DASBE will deliver green skills in programmes covering the circular economy, energy efficiency and digital skills.

DASBE is a unique collaboration of higher education institutes and industry partners with the shared aim to be agile and responsive to the upskilling needs of the construction industry.

The DASBE Purpose

Our Rational

The construction sector is undergoing dramatic change as a result of EU, National policies and regulations, emerging construction tools and a major focus on sustainability across all of its operations. Critical themes which are affecting all aspects of the sector include; Energy standards, Retrofitting, Ventilation/Air Tightness/Air Quality, Circular Economy, and the Digital Economy.

Our Mission

DASBE intends to upskill the building sector on a range of topics including low energy buildings design to the application of Virtual Reality in building surveying by providing programmes from Level 6 to Level 9 on the NFQ. DASBE is offering construction professionals a range of programmes in Energy Efficiency, Circular Economy and Digitalisation.

Our Vision

DASBE will create a Digital Platform to enable learners to undertake a range of programmes ranging from micro-accreditation (including digital badges), Special Purpose Awards (Certificates), and Minor and Major awards focusing on specific topics, needs and requirements in the sector.

What is the DASBE Digital Platform?

The DASBE Digital Platform is a means whereby DASBE learners will be able to maintain a portfolio of all of their construction-based qualifications.

The DASBE Digital Platform is a means whereby DASBE learners will be able to maintain a portfolio of all of their construction-based qualifications.

The DASBE Project’s primary objective is to reduce the education and training skills gap that has arisen in the construction sector. As part of this primary objective, and in collaboration with the DASBE consortium, the Digital Platform will centralise, support, and deliver many of the educational requirements needed to address the gap.

In addition, learners will be able to explore a range of programmes focusing on specific topics, needs and requirements in the construction sector. These programmes are on offer from the DASBE Consortium Partners and will include micro-accreditation (including digital badges), Special Purpose Awards (Certificates), and Minor and Major awards.

I'm delighted that DASBE will create a Digital Platform to enable learners to undertake a range of programmes ranging from micro-accreditation (including digital badges), Special Purpose Awards (Certificates), and Minor and Major awards focusing on specific topics, needs and requirements in the sector.
