This programme covers all the technologies needed to produce energy and in particular electrical energy from renewable sources, to monitor and control energy systems and to connect them to the electricity grid. It is a mixture of theory and practical hands-on learning in all aspects of Renewable Energy Technology, electrical technology and automated monitoring and control systems. The skills learned on the programme can be used in a wide range of industries and good graduates are in high demand.

This programme covers all the technologies needed to produce energy and in particular electrical energy, from renewable sources, to monitor and control energy systems and to connect them to the electricity grid. It is a mixture of theory and practical hands-on learning in all aspects of Renewable Energy Technology, electrical technology and automated monitoring and control systems.

The programme will provide in-depth knowledge and understanding of the construction process and the necessary theoretical knowledge to match solutions to construction problems; the management skills to plan, organise and manage construction projects and the ability to contribute to the construction process in a manner that sustains and enhances the natural and the built environments.

This programme is offered on the CAO, and is a one year common entry programme to the four honours degree programmes in the Built Environment. This programme can be useful for those in the industry, but can also be viewed as a progressional step to enable students to progress to alternative programmes as developed within or promoted by DASBE.

The aim of this programme is to give the students an academically challenging educational experience that will enable them to develop the knowledge base, professional attitudes, leadership skills, commercial awareness and the skills necessary for the management of health and safety and its associated technologies to serve both the construction industry and society. The programme also aims to provide the student with the opportunity to develop skills for lifelong learning.

What are BIM Dimensions? You probably already heard about BIM levels or stages, but what about these Dimensions? Learn how many are there; what do they mean and how they apply into your role and workflow.

To implement the BIM process and collaborate in it, knowledge of some essential key terms becomes required. We will cover a set of basic important terms, allowing learners to start navigating the BIM jargon.

4.0 revolution-digitalisation is changing the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry’s workflows, methods, processes and tools. BIM is often in the center of this. What benefits adopting BIM brings to the industry and its professionals? Why/ How it improves the way AEC professionals are used to work? This is a quick overview of benefits of BIM (and digitalisation) implementation.

The aim of the programme is to offer new skills to industry professionals and graduates in creative media and construction sectors who are looking to further their capabilities in software and design techniques in the realm of virtual reality and 3D visualisation.
